The Parsons High School volleyball team pulled above .500 for the first time this season when they took two games in Erie on Saturday.

The Lady Vikings opened with a 25-3, 25-7 win over Crest.

In that game, senior Bianca Do had 15 assists, Taylor Kemp had eight kills and Sierra Kemp had four assists and led the team in passing.

Game two saw the Lady Vikings get a 25-13, 25-17 win over Erie High School.

There, Do had 15 assists, Sawyer Woodworth had eight kills and Aurianna Jackson led the team in blocks.

“I thought the girls played well and got the job done. They came out intense and ready to win. Our passing has improved, but our defense is still shaky,” said Parsons head coach Hillary Applegate.

The Vikings improved to 6-5 overall with the victory. They have won four of the past five matches heading into a non-league triangular with Coffeyville and Labette County Thursday in Coffeyville.
