EUREKA — The Cherryvale Chargers' defense only gave up two touchdowns Friday night in Eureka, but their offense failed to get on the scoreboard.

The Chargers fell behind in the first quarter when the Tornadoes scored on a two-yard run. After a 2-point conversion, the Chargers didn't give up any more points in the half. In the third quarter, however, Eureka struck again, this time on a 10-yard passing TD. Later in the quarter, Eureka picked up a fumble and returned it 80 yards for the final touchdown of the game.

Tristan Thornton had all but three of the Chargers' rushing yards. Cody O'Brien had three catches for 61 yards.

The Chargers will Galena at home on Friday.
